superyOnce a long standing staple of mine and Lauren’s Friday night when we lived together many years ago, the St. Supery Sauvignon Blanc brings back very fond memories of us drinking wine and eating crusty bread and brie while watching movies. This past weekend while I was in Kansas City I noticed it in a store and immediately bought a bottle to enjoy with our amazing dinner Lauren’s cousin, Jillian made of Chicken Enchiladas and Mexican Salad laden with chunks of fresh jicama and covered in wonderful Cotija cheese.  What a fun last night in KC.

The St. Supery Sauvignon Blanc 2010 is almost clear in color with just a tinge of pale summer green.  Bursting with citrus on the nose with aromas of grapefruit and lime and just a hint of honeydew.  Zingy and fresh and reminiscent of summer on the palate.  Delicious, crisp and given it was 80 degrees in KC it makes me yearn for summer, outdoor dining and drinking with friends.  I love this wine! This wine paired perfectly with spicy Enchiladas and citrusy salad.
