It is rare that a week can go by and I have not visited my local, Local 149.  Just a block and skip from my house, Local has become my new home away from home when I don’t want to cook for myself.

It has been a while since I have written anything about them at all, in fact looking back my last dinner review was in April 2011 and brunch was in August of the same year.  Too long I say!  I need to do a full revisit review and soon.

With their constantly changing menu there is always a new favorite, which makes my visits anything but boring.  One of the dishes that I do care for and am always sad when it is off the menu is their Statler Chicken.  Luckily it pops up on their menu under many different guises.  The entrée that they have now is by far my absolute favorite of all their Statler Chicken creations and a dish worthy of Fab Dish Friday.

The Roasted Chicken Statler Breast has juicy white roasted chicken atop a wonderful crunchy quinoa salad with nutty walnuts, crispy celery, sweet grapes and palms.  Flavors and textures that work magnificently together, especially with a touch their fantastic garlic cream.

I have enjoyed this dish on my last three visits to Local 149 and as long as it remains on the menu I am sure I will be having it each time in the future.  Big Fan!
