Fab Dish Friday: spanish branzino at rpm seafood, River North
Join me on Fridays to celebrate a dish of the week, featuring mouth-watering creations from Chicago restaurants and beyond.
Do you like seafood, particularly a lovely fish named Branzino? Well, have I got a Fab Dish Friday for you…
I’ve been casually dropping by the RPM Seafood Bar for years. The vibe? It’s more fun than a barrel of fish – pun intended! I have some go-to favorites like their chopped salad, which pairs perfectly with literally any seafood. Their fish tacos? A crisy delight. And don’t get me started on the Sea Salt Fries—they’re a perfect trifecta of temperature hot, crispy, and slightly terrifying (in the best way). Blink and they are gone!
Spanish Branzino
But today, let’s talk about their Simply Grilled Spanish Branzino – Grilled over glowing embers of charcoal and served with single-estate Iliada olive oil, fire-kissed tomatoes, and Amalfi lemon salt.. This wood-fired grilled fish is so flaky and delicious, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to a quaint Greek village, where the locals wave as they pass by and you can practically smell the sea. Pair this beauty with some charred asparagus and a crisp glass of Chablis (a personal favorite), and you’ll be as happy as a clam.
The service at RPM Seafood Bar is always top-notch. Everyone is greeted like a long-lost friend, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
