I was recently asked to do a wine tasting of a New Zealand Pinot Gris favored by Kate Middleton our (my British “our”) Duchess of Cambridge. How could I say no to such an offer. I am after all very British but sadly not royal.
“While visiting New Zealand in April, the British royal couple toured the beautiful Amisfield Winery, a specialist producer of Pinot Noir and aromatic white wines created from an estate vineyard beneath the Pisa Mountain range. Amisfield’s award-winning collection of wine currently includes two crisp white wines, the 2012 Pinot Gris and 2013 Sauvignon Blanc, perfect for pairing with fresh summer dishes or sipping a chilled glass on a warm summer day. While Kate’s fashion and beauty routine may be hard for most of us to emulate, Amisfield wines are the perfect way to make the next summer soiree a little more “royal.” ”
I thought I would do something completely different from any other wine review I have done in the past and do a video blog. I have always avoided these types of reviews because I really dont like to see myself on video, but… I am pushing myself out of my behind the scenes blogger persona and decided to go for it.
Along with the help of my always fabulous friend BosGuy, we present to you a tasting of Amisfield Pinot Gris 2012. Let me know what you think?
My rating…
Really enjoyed doing this tasting with you.
