I am desperately longing for a golden beach, juicy book, the quiet splash of the ocean and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and it’s not just the weather causing this need. A wine I was introduced to at the Boston Wine Expo has seduced me into believing summer might not be that far away and all of these things are possibilities!
A newcomer from Gallo Wines, the William Hill Estates Sauvignon Blanc has a calming light Sea foam green hue. There are instant and startling aromas of citrus fruits and apricot on the nose. Powerfully sharp on the tongue with tastes of ripe red grapefruit, kiwi and cantaloupe. A slight effervescence tingles the tongue with a delightful dance. There is a lingering crisp finish, which begs a second sip and I am more than happy to oblige.
Not something any Bostonian wants to say out loud, but I think we still have a way to go for summer. So, last night I immediately went online just to look at tropical islands while sipping on this enjoyable wine that put me in a great mood after a long day.
This wine is a winner for any Sauvignon Blanc lover and would pair great with vacation shopping. Now I just need to get back to the gym for that tentative trip I have planned.

My rating…
Seems like an affordable way to fend off the winter blues and to start dreaming of the summer.
