There was absolutely no need for me to buy glittery, sparkly, fabulous Loeffler Randall wedges back in the Spring, except that I just loved them.  They caught the corner of my eye and just made me smile.  I had to have them for no other reason except they looked like a disco ball from the 1980s.

Fast forward to August and I got to wear them with a beautiful gray slip dress from one of my favorite stores, Aritzia.   The dress was so utterly simple and sophisticated it was almost like these shoes were made for them as the jewelry accessory with a pair of hoop diamante earrings.

The destination for the super outfit was the wedding of my friends Tyler and Joe at the New England Aquarium.  A gorgeous evening, celebrating the love of two great people meant to spend their lives together.

Tyler and Joe’s Wedding

I think the sandals may have had some magical powers as something in the LF wedges took over me and I danced non-stop for about three hours completely ignoring the fact this was the most exercise I had done in months and that I usually turn into a pumpkin at midnight.

At 12.30am I got in an Uber still wearing the now unbearably (literally) fabulous shoes and could not even get up one flight of stairs to my condo.  I took them off on the stoop like they were razor blades about to cut my toes in half.

These shoes belong on my feet to make them look fantastic and perhaps for a little walk from an Uber to restaurant, they are not for dancing for dancing your little legs off three hours.  Lesson learned.
