A few years ago I became a club member of Silenus Winery in Napa Valley. Silenus is a small winery which produces its own label of wines. I always get excited with this delivery as you never know what are you going to get and I am always happily surprised with the selection. The reason being is while I love my Silenus label wines, what I really liked about this winery is that in addition to their own wines they also offer their equipment to gifted winemakers to create wines under their own label. One of these labels is Jana Wines.
This Sauvignon Blanc is almost translucent in color with hints of cantaloupe and apricot on the nose. The first sip brings an extremely crisp dry taste with hints citrus fruit, but not acidic. The cantaloupe becomes more present with each taste giving it a creamy overtone. This wine has a dry playful finish, which asks you to play a little longer with each taste.
The Jana Sauvignon Blanc is a super easy, very drinkable everyday wine. If you like crisp, dry whites this one is for you.
Sit on your patio and enjoy with a summer Pasta Salad with Chicken & Prosciutto and great friends.
