Look what I found? I have been wearing my snow boots for so long now I had forgotten about all of the wonderful shoes and boots I own… And if one is honest with oneself, one does own a LOT of shoes and boots. It’s time to start wearing all of them again.
I bought these super trendy Derek Lam 10 Crosby awesome ankle boots last January (2014) when I was in NYC with my sister. They were on the mega sale in Saks so I had to have them. More so because they are a size five and not because I loved them.
They are not a typical purchase for me as they are little bit edgy and a bit rock chick’ish rather than Professional Services by day, food and wine blogger by night person. However, the more I wear them, the more I love them. They make me feel cool.
No ugly snow boots tonight, instead these Derek Lam forgotten about boots will be donned on my size five’s for dinner with my friend, Erin.
According to Wikipedia… “Lam began working as an assistant for Michael Kors in the 90s and worked there for four years. Lam then moved to Hong Kong to work for a large retail brand. Following his Hong Kong experience, Derek returned to New York and was appointed vice President of Design for Michael Kors’ Kors line.
In 2003, he launched his own label. He debuted at the New York Fashion Week in September 2003. In 2005, Lam won the CFDA Perry Ellis Swarovski Award for new designers and started his own line of clothes. In addition to clothes, Derek Lam also has a line of shoes and jewelry. In February 2010, Derek Lam launched an e-commerce website selling an edited collection of ready-to-wear and accessories.”
