The great thing about having visitors is that you get to do the tourist things you wouldn’t normally do. Case in point, a trip to the North End with a visit to Caffé Vittoria on Hanover Street for coffee and a sweet treat.

Cappucino – extra cocoa
Caffé Vittoria opened in 1929 and has been a tourist trap for thousands of visitors to Boston each year. Offering four levels of seating and a menu of specialty coffees, delicious desserts and a range of grappas, it really is a super fun place to stop by for a visit. I do love going there with my visitors from England.

Chocolate Cannoli
On this trip I was craving their cannoli, specifically their chocolate dipped shell cannoli. I love the fresh sweet ricotta and rich, dark chocolaty shell. Paired a frothy, strong cappuccino it makes for the perfect afternoon treat. It was a happy day for me.
