When invited by the Boston Wine Expo folks to join them in celebrating International Carbernet Day, there was really only one answer… YES.
Joined by my friend, Stacey we arrived at the Seaport Hotel to enjoy some fine tastings of wonderful Cabernet Wines and to mingle with other Carbernet wine lovers. A lovely evening.
Two of my favorites stood out among the tastings we enjoyed and now are added on to my “to buy” list. Firstly a Rutherford Ranch Reserve – chocolately and rich with a smoky aroma and big in taste. The other is a Hope Family Treana Red 2009 – warm and heady with a fruit forward taste.
