I was first introduced to 90+ Cellars at an event late last year, which was hosted by the Boston Wine Expo. I was an immediate fan of their Cabernet Sauvignon, Rutherford 2012 and have been enjoying a glass here and there over the last few months.
My old roommate, Lauren was in town recently so we decided to invite the girls over for a dinner of Roasted Chicken with Feta & Olive Quinoa Salad so I thought a Pinot Grigio would be a perfect pairing. The 90+ caught my eye so I thought we could give it a whirl.
The 90+ Pinot Grigio is almost transparent in color with just a tinge of white honey. Lovely on the nose with aromas on citrus and calming honeysuckle. This is a happy light wine that surprises as it hits all your tastebuds with a swift pow of melon, pear and tangerine – it’s really quite delightful. The finish is smooth and soft. The perfect fun, dinner with girls wine. I really wish I had purchased more bottles for the evening.
A really great every day wine at a good price of just $15.
My rating…
Hi Tracey, 90+ Cellars is a great wine. I’d like to know if we can have you blog about an upcoming Chef Battle in Boston on Feb. 24th. Please email me for details.
